Before gaining independence from Britain in 1957, Ghana—then known as the Gold Coast—had already taken part in the historic Asian-African Conference, also known as the Bandung Conference. As two nations that experienced colonialism, Ghana and Indonesia share a common past. In this public lecture, Pietro Fasola from the University of Florence will explore the parallels and contrasts in postcolonial development between the two countries.
