Before gaining independence from Britain in 1957, Ghana—then known as the Gold Coast—had already taken part in the historic Asian-African Conference, also known as the Bandung Conference. As two nations that experienced colonialism, Ghana and Indonesia share a common past. In this public lecture, Pietro Fasola from the University of Florence will explore the parallels and contrasts in postcolonial development between the two countries. What similarities and differences emerge? Join us for this lecture next Wednesday.
