Dr. Abdul Wahid is a lecturer at the History Department, Faculty of Cultural Sciences, UGM, at which he also currently serves as Head of the Department. He obtained his bachelor’s and master’s degree in history in 2000 and 2006, both at Universitas Gadjah Mada. In 2009, he received his second master’s degree from History Department, Faculty of Humanities, Leiden University. He completed his doctoral degree in social economic history at Utrecht University in 2013. His main research interest focuses on Indonesian economic history, decolonization and violence, modern history of Southeast Asia, and recently, environmental history.
